Lindsay Lohan Backstabs Herself And Gets Jail Time

Leave it to Lindsay Lohan, former child star who made her debut with the hit, The Parent Trap and follow-up successes like Freaky Friday,  to backstab herself and turn an easy probation sentence into 90 days of jail time.

Stemming from the three-year-old 2007 DUI arrests, including one in which Lindsay Lohan  crashed her car into a Beverly Hills tree while under the influence, the 24 y/o actress received a birthday present (July 2), but no forgiveness from L.A. Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel. Judge Revel found she violated her terms of probation on a pair of 2007 DUI busts.

For those offenses she originally wound up spending 84 minutes in jail. Lohan could again serve less than a full sentence because of prison overcrowding, but it is likely the judge will release another prisoner before she allows Lohan to walk without serving at least half her term. Revel isn’t happy with Lindsay’s antics since receiving probation.

Lohan made a plea for leniency to the Judge that can only be described as often rambling, citing at one point her involvement in a charity that helps Moroccan  children. Revel bought none of it and sentenced the surprised Lohan to three consecutive 30-day sentences – three times what prosecutors were seeking – to be followed by rehab.

“She comes and goes as she pleases,” said Judge Revel. “There’s been a history of that. No excuses.”

Lohan had appeared to repeatedly thumb (or, in this case, “middle finger”) her nose at the law.

Lohan, previously ordered to attend weekly alcohol education meetings, skipped seven of the sessions in the past 27 weeks.

Lohan’s “excuses” for skipping her sessions ran the gamut from flight problems at a North Carolina airport to the death of her uncle – although she did not attend his funeral. She even missed a court appearance because she was partying in France at the Cannes Film Festival.

Lindsay Lohan definitely stuck the knife in herself and drove it even further in when she appeared in court with a fingernail of a middle finger embossed with the lettering “FUCK U”.

The tearful Lindsay Lohan cried on the shoulder of her lawyer when sentenced. However, she later fired her lawyer and has stated that she will not go to jail.

Does the public have any sympathy for her? Not much. A spoiled brat out of control is still a spoiled brat out of control – even when they are a celebrity. We think that Lindsay might benefit from a change of scenery and rehab. Look what it did for Paris Hilton, who realized with adulthood comes an end to a pretty face and money getting away with doing stupid things.

We actually like Lindsay. That’s why we want her to do some time, finish a rehab program, and get her shit together. It could result in her having a career again.
