The Sexual Backstabber

The sexual backstabber – probably the most abhorred of all the backstabbers to be found, because they make it personal, at a level that affects the heart and sometimes the innocent. They destroy relationships and trust.

This is the backstabber that requires another backstabber. Two peas in a pod, so to speak.

Always, it involves your sexual partner. Sometimes the other backstabber is someone you have never met, such as your mate’s co-worker, but it may likely be someone you and your mate both know. A “friend” who discusses your relationship with your partner, subtly injecting doubt, flirtation, and other means to achieve the end.

It does not matter who is the initiator of the backstabbing. Your partner may have been attracted initially to the other, or the other may have “lent a sympathetic ear” at the appropriate times. Neither had the character or self-control to keep themselves from driving that serrated blade into your back.

Not only does their act of backstabbing affect the mate, but if children are involved it will affect them as well. Often, they will not know or understand until they are older, the reasons things have changed in their life because of this backstabbing incident.

Your satisfaction? Know that backstabbers do not survive with each other. Half of all these new relationships end in less than 6 months after being discovered. Less than 10 percent last beyond 1 year.

When the thrill of cheating ends and reality sets in, the fun for them is over.
